Looks good mate
Love the front end
Let us know what the vibrations are like
I've gotta do something with my engine mountings maybe solid is the way to go:)

thanks, i've got solid subframe bushes to fit as well so think i'm going to get alot of vibrations. I've kept the original engine mounts so can see me switching back lolRob wrote:Looks good mate

Re: BT, 1994 854 T-5
spent a good few hours working on BT's front end today, added some strengthening bars & bolted the bonnet on. Its now too heavy & really struggled to move it, then when i did get it onto BT the rear strengthening bar ripped off the brake reservoir, & the side bars hit the inner wings. So i packed up & hit the beer lol

Re: BT, 1994 854 T-5
with the suspension at the height i want, & the camber plate on i had to try the 17" on it. I'm tempted to back to 18's for her now

Re: BT, 1994 854 T-5
the new rear top mounts arrived yesterday, & after a trial fit i think i'm going to have some problems. The pics are with no springs, but the car in the air so should be the highest it can go

Re: BT, 1994 854 T-5
following on from Rob suggesting a longer shock, i came up with this yesterday which i think should of solved the problem. I had some M10 couplers so tried them on the end of the shock, cut some threaded bar (have ordered some proper M10 studs) to length & its now exactly 2" longer which is want i need

Re: BT, 1994 854 T-5
got all the rear suspension on the car, & must say i'm finally happy with it. Think it sits very nice & hopefully it'll be able to get off the drive without ripping too much bodywork off lol

Re: BT, 1994 854 T-5
i do apologise for not updating my thread on here very often
another pressie has turned up (yes i know its not going to help get her back on the road lol). Got it straight on the scales & 3.4kg lighter than her current crank (i would like someone to confirm weight of an original crank if anyones got an engine stripped). With the lightweight flywheel & crank pulley it works out to 7.9kg lighter, almost the weight of the original flywheel lol
air intake modified for the bypass valve, just need to get the aluminium flanges welded to the pipes & wire it up
Because so iddiot put a radiator & full pumps in the boot i've got no storage space, so got a double helmet box to put on the back seat. Also bought 2 towing straps, might fit them as door pulls tho lol

Re: BT, 1994 854 T-5
haven't really done anything exciting, but thought i'd post up the little bits i have done while i'm bored lol
helmet box now in & secured
used one of the tow-straps as a door pull, can even reach it while harnessed in which is very handy
also getting an alloy 3" Maf housing made

Re: BT, 1994 854 T-5
done a new strip tease video. The last one only had the bonnet come off the first, this one the whole front-end comes off. To show its not just quick ripping BT apart so i've done a video putting it back together

wicked video pedro....................a lot of work gone into that...............just a quick bit of info that may help getting doors on quicker.................cut a small amount off the lower pin .....this way you can get the top pin in first.....which saves having to line up both pins together........................was told this tip by the wheelchair tech that services my wifes wheelchair........the front footplates used to be a nightmare to line up but are now done in seconds...................hope you find this useful

Re: BT, 1994 854 T-5
ordered some 25mm spacers that turned up today, got to grind/fold the wheel arch lip but very happy with them. Also bought some later spec pistons, just need to decide whether to build the engine as a 2.3 or 2.4
