Bonny, 2002 S60 D5
just realised i hadn't done a gallery for Bonny my daily car. I'm not meant to be spending any money on her, but a few mods have slipped thru the net. She's just coming up 182k miles & still does amazingly well on fuel, averaged over 66mpg on a recent run

Re: Bonny, 2002 S60 D5
been messing with the HID's on Bonny today, got HID's everywhere now (dipped, fogs & main). Also wired it so the foglights come on with the main beam now
PS she's now on 187k miles

the headlights take a while to warm up, but yeh they are bright once they get going lol. Thanks i do like the floor lights, i've got 2 more but not sure what to do with them (think putting them on the rear doors might be OTT)CONRODS!! wrote:fook me they look very bright lol love them door floor lights look the nuts duane boi

as for how, on an 850 its very easy as they've already got the red door markers you can wire them off. P2's are harder as you've got to run an extra wire into the door (bloody stupid plug & sockets on original loom don't help either)

Re: Bonny, 2002 S60 D5
done a few little bits & bobs on Bonny
mirrors were badly scratched so sprayed them grey
if S60R's can have an R on the grill, i can have a D lol
i wasn't happy with the pressure from the last box, so i made another to try. Got a double & a single instead of 3 singles now

Re: Bonny, 2002 S60 D5
i've never been impressed with the sound from the 12's in the S60, & remembered a little trick i did with the 850's old install of putting a port in the ski-hatch to let the sound out so thought i'd just open the hatch to see if it made a difference on the S60. Opening the hatch came across the a problem, some idiot (me) had put an amp over it
as i'm only currently using the 1 amp (which happens to be the one mounted over the ski-hatch) i decided to move it
so now the hatch can be opened, you can't really tell what it is behind it & has improved the bass quite alot so i'm just going to leave it as is now

at one stage BT had 3 x 15" subs, think the bass amp was kicking out 4-5k watt on its own. I'm not a fan of 12's but 15's won't fit in the S60Rob wrote:The search for more bass is the same as the search for more power
