Smoky Motor
Hello,Advice sought,I just bought an 850 GLE Station Wagon,266-667 kilometres on the clock,10 valve motor,fumey from the oil filler cap,does about 1000 klms per week and I now notice,after freewheeling on the freeway,then accelerating I see a whisp of blue smoke,does anyone know what this would be,valve stem seals were repla about 30-000 kms ago,Thanks in advance,Jonathan (Aussie 850. )

Hi,
Is it a T5? If it is100% sure that will be the turbo seals.
You could try a thicker oil to slow down the leak through the turbo, but that will only be a temporary fix, you'll need a turbo re-build.
If it's isn't a T5, it's bound to be a vacuum leak somewhere try the filler cap and dipstick seals, these need to be completely sealed to form a vacuum otherwise they breathe! Need a complete seal
