Marks 9k Aero...
May I introduce you all to 'Babe', a Saab 9000 Aero....
I bought her from a serving police officer in Hythe Southampton back in June 2004. She was totally standard (225bhp) and came with all the toys you'd expect from the top spec model including those god damm sexy wing back leather Recaro seats...mmm.
Since then she's had one or two little upgrades. These little upgrades were carefully chosen so as to keep her as close to standard looking and to be a stealthy Q car as much as possible. Most of her performance enhancing steroids are kept secret, but included in there is a custom stg3+ remap, Decatted JT 3in zorst and Toyo Proxy R1R's. She is more tuned for fast road rather than all out track car, but thats not to say she doesn't dish out some discipline on track, ohh no. A regular track abuser is Babe, having attacked Castle Combe (x8) Donington Park(x2), Cadwell Park (x2), Mallory (x3) RAF Marham (x3) and of course Lydden. As for power and torque, lets just say she has enough to be a menace to society
Some say a picture says a thousand words, but I say a video tells a story. So for a little bedtime story A couple of chapters before tucking yourself in for the night...

Re: Marks 9k Aero...
A 'little' addition along with a small deletion lol. Sorry for being abit cryptic but this tasty little mod is currently well under wraps until the time is right.
Although an annoying whining noise has developed over the past few months and a couple of weeks ago was found to be a gearbox problem. So the car is currently at the garage minus the gearbox as its currently at Quaiffe. Once gearbox no.11 is put in she'll be ready to go. But its cutting things real fine as Sat&Sun is RAF Marham's trackweekend and i'm booked in for both days....heck this is gonna be a close one!
If all goes to plan and I dont break anything i'll let you guys in on what i've done, I rekon the track slags amungst us may approve

Re: Marks 9k Aero...
Well nothing broke hahahaha!!
So, after suffering oil surge on long righthanders and losing my engine at Mallory park last year I though something had to be done. Finding that most drift cars have these bad boys fitted to combat their oil surge issues I looked into this further. So, after alot of research, i've taken the plunge and gone for whats probably my most quized over modification yet lol
Fitted in the void that used to house the battery, the Accusump holds 6 litres of accumulated oil ready to inject into the engine block if/when oil surge should occur, thus saving the engine from going bang (again).
To allow for installation I had to 'lose the cruise'. Taking out the cruise control gubbings created a shed load more space (and lost a tiny bit of weight too).
I've opted for the manual control since not only is it considerably cheaper than the electric alternative but will only really need it when on track so can include opening the valve in my preflight checks.
The battery has been moved into the boot area with a kill switch installed in easy reach of the driver and passanger in the dash cubbyhole under the stereo headunit. Having the Battery in the boot gives another advantage of moving some weight further back.
This install has definately renewed my confidence in the car's conering ability, in particular long right handers. This proved very effective on the reversed circuit at RAF Marham. I used that weekend not only as a chance to be a nutter on steriods but also to get as much lateral and forward G as possible to try and get some sort of oil surge but instead I ended up either going faster still or ended up sideways haha!
